Design Intent Model

Design intent CAD models restore the intent of the original engineer. This model is an an idealised and optimised version of the scan data.

We correct the defects of the 3D scanned part according to engineering standards and requirements. For example, distorted faces are modelled flat and out-of-round features are corrected to be round once more.

When recreating parts for manufacture, we recommend parametric design intent modelling for complete control over design principles.

Scan-to-CAD

Reference Model

The generation a model replicating the scan data with zero-minimal deviation from the scan surfaces and includes defects. It's ideal for import into CAD software like Solidworks or Fusion and is typically used by in-house Design Engineers for parametric reconstruction.
